As we anticipate Mercury (7 April) and Venus (13 April) returning to direct motion let us not neglect the rather juicy Mars in Cancer trine Saturn in Pisces and Mars and Saturn sextile Uranus in Taurus, all pretty much happening now and in the next couple days. As well, Mars in Cancer squares Eris in Aries.
It’s a three-ring circus out there and Mars is the ringmaster. Daylight’s burning. It’s time to make hay, or at least get the hay in the barn so it doesn’t get rained on, retrogrades be damned.
Mars makes one of those scrunched up faces when he hears that the two innermost planets continue to retrograde as a reason for not taking his tasks in hand. If in a mood, he might repeat your statement using a distorted three-year-old’s voice. But it ends up with, “Really? You’re gonna piss away a trine to Saturn and a sextile to Uranus, over a couple pesky retrogrades? S**t, I’m gonna use my square to Eris to ensure you remain feeling isolated. That’ll be your penance... for now.”
Yeah, fortunately there’s a Mars in Cancer square to Eris in Aries now abouts. That’s the source of the angst that aptly applies aspiration efforts to the conditions demanding attention. With Mars trine Saturn and sextile Uranus, maybe your energy feels okay for the first time in a while. No need to mess up this groove with activity that intends to build something, create art, or manifest magic, right? Mars has his own opinions about all this using words that cannot be broadcast on network television. Mars favors the square to Eris. Eris favors Aries. Lore reports that she consorted with Ares (not a typo) ruled by Mars. Together they would create social mischief with intriguing political ramifications. With Mars square Eris, would it not be time for such activity? Especially if the conduct engaged results in disenfranchisement from social circles. Mars sees this as an absolute win.
Consider your corner in life, your social strata, the circles within which you orbit. Does anything feel out of sorts? If no, check to verify blood continues to run through your veins. With sources of irritation abounding in life, how can you use Mars to create a shift toward the better? After all, with his trine to Saturn and sextile to Uranus, Mars argues this can all come about with relative ease. How cool would that be?
Here’s a Mars question for you: When energy feels smooth should you sit back and chill or would this be the time to follow the flow of whatever creative activity attracts your attention? Mars suggests once you get started, you might want to keep on with the keeping on. Will results be assured? No. But a person won’t know how activity shakes out until action is taken on behalf of that activity.
With the Saturn in Pisces, there’s Venus, node and Mercury conjunct. If that doesn’t inspire a tad of helpful paranoia, nothing will. Might you be missing out? How would you know? What controls do you have regarding your karma? With Mars working these other Piscean planets though Saturn, he’s going to claim having your hands on the reins of the seahorse aids in navigating such a creature through the bearings of twisting straits - much like navigating life.
Given the trine and sextile in play with Mars, things can settle easily. When things settle easily, they garner little to no never mind. It’s just easy. Like shifting properly greased gears. Or hitting a baseball perfectly - there’s very little physical sensation - only the crack of the bat and watching the ball arc in the sky.
Queries Mars, “Here’s the deal, monad earthling, do you work your butt off now and get fluid and swift results, or you can hold off for some prompting tension, that insists you slug your way through that. How are you going to go? Must life always have resistance? What’s your theory of inertia and entropy? Must there be disorder and randomness to grab your attention and dedicated output? Are you cool working within a productive flow? Do you need strack and pressure to perform?”
Then he adds, “Since you bitch about being shut out as much as you do, how about you apply full energy and conscious attention to all priority tasks in this moment of relative flow? Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘get while the getting’s good?’” Mars tosses up his hands and says, “The getting’s pretty damn good about now in this here place. I’m here to pry you into action... or do you require more subtle plying, like bribing? If so, remember I’m flipping Mars for Buddha’s sake. What I do best is not subtle. Except now, while I’m trining and sextiling gaseous giants. Better trining than pining, dude.”
Then Mars turns his back, surveys the sky, points to his position above and says without looking back, “I got stuff to do. Easy serious stuff. You coming or what?”
Indeed who knows what lies upon the road less traveled unless passage actually occurs? Does Mars yield mayhem? Sometimes. Does Mars move with mysterious magic? Sometimes. Now is one of those times in which how energy applies depends upon your response to the summons for Martian mobility. Remember, Mars and his snide retort, “You’re going to waste life because of retrogrades? Where’s your fight? Where’s your chutzpah? Find your gumption locker for your own sake and unzip the bag of gonadic fortitude. Remember, I’m Mars. I don’t beg. This is your one and only warning shot.”
One and only warning shot this Mars transit that is. The next one could be way testier. If that’s a chance you want to take.
